India-Afghanistan are partners in progress

Well it dosent matter if we get a share of natural resources. But we want Afghanistan to become a strong country and economically stable. This will change the face of accessibility to CAR for India.

I trhink they are good, i forgot to mention the medical hospital in kabul which is absolutely great and helping many people.

Thanks for mentioning that too. Was just about to bring that up. And there is work going on in the field of education as well.
India is of the considered opinion that what Afghanistan really needs is help to set up infrastructure and will work towards that end. Others can provide the guns.

Some Facts:

India has provided US$ 650-750 million in humanitarian and economic aid, making it the largest regional provider of aid for Afghanistan.

A poll showed that Afghans rated India as the most favourable country, while Pakistan was the least favoured country with only 2% popularity
Afghan poll shows India most favoured, Pakistan unpopular [newkerala.com, , 34686]

Why cant India take buy some of the precious material in Afghanistan for? :what:

sorry buddy, i cant. it is not too important anyway, so dont worry, you are not missing anything special.

@Ahmad,
Just to share with you. A member of my family had worked in Afghanistan years ago as a UN (FAO) agricultural expert (seed technologist). He is since retired, but has revived his work there with his own funding and in co-operation with local organisations there.

I wasn't going to comment, but since you mentioned Pakistan,

http://www.defence.pk/forums/strate...-investment-afghanistan-hits-500-million.html

Keep in mind that India's GDP is 8x that of Pakistan so, by comparison, Pakistan has been far more generous than India. Not to mention the four million Afghans who found refuge in Pakistan.

I suggest you leave Pakistan out of this and focus on India-Afghanistan ties. As long as those ties don't involve nurturing anti-Pakistan elements, we are happy for both of you.

projects completed by india have had vital importance for afghanistan such as Dil Aram road, the parliament building and recently agriculture faculty in kabul.

Friend, i think u have also forget to add power supply to Kabul, skill development program for afghan youth so that they can get jobs, scholarships, women empowerment and radio/television station etc.

India's help is not limited to any single field or province but we are working all over Afghanistan forthe betterment of Afghan people.

Investment = Aid is this what your text book teaches.

Moreover, India has increase the aid from 750 Million to 1.25 Billion. India will create Roads, Hospitals and Schools.

And about investment, I guess than we would need data of private investors who are investing in mines, oils, etc. (ONGC, Oil India, etc.). Just recently India invested 2 Billion USD in Bhutan for power project. Remembers its investment which will bear profit in future.
