Err - Marathi Hindus are from the state of Maharashtra - the Gujaratis are from Gujarat. Jinnah was a Gujarati Muslim; Sardar Patel and Gandhi were Gujarati Hindus.
than why specifically called Marathi hindus why not only hindus....?

Khan is a title, his family could've received it. Otherwise, they (one male ancestor at least) could've come from where there was an abundance of khanan!Silly ...
if he is from Maharashtra, how is he Khan?
Our pathans/pashtuns aren't the original Khans, they're 'honorary' Khans! it's a Turkish title, and the pathans were given it by Genghis Khan when they impressed him by putting up a fight like no one else. There's plenty of other khans as well, obviously among the Turks and the Chinese (Hans). Not all khans are ethnic pathans . Many non pathan muslim converts had received " Khan" as a honorary title during Muhgol time.
They were here before Pakistan even existed. Many migrated to India after the partition but some still remain. Karachi used to have a sizeable Marathi Hindu population.
Marathi is their ethnicity, Hinduism is their religion. It is like saying Punjabi Muslim or Sindhi Muslim or Baloch Muslim.
actualy we never categorize muslims like u said punjabi muslims etc...thts why i feel strange.
i thought they are different from other hindus of Pakistan..
