I wouldn't say that Obama "was failing in election for his second term" but in 2008, IIRC, he was the ONLY candidate who publicly vowed to invade Pakistan without the GoP's permission if necessary. If he hadn't taken out OBL then in 2012 he likely STILL would have been the most hawkish candidate. So successfully taking out OBL might not have made much of a difference in the swing vote. But you gotta give it to trump , he is far more vocal about even the tiniest success he gets, so if he gets to solve Afghanistan, he will have the boost he needs , Remember Obama he was failing in election for his second term and than OBL happened and boom goes his popularity .
"No banning" is not the same as press freedom, don't you realize that?IK was right there is no banning of Media or anything -
That's the way it should be but that's only a part of press freedom. In Pakistan there's censorship of political views, threatening of journalists, attacks on media houses with little or no police follow-up, all fuelled by the prevalent official attitude that Pakistan's media exists to support the military's now-favored government and therefore not to question it anymore.... every Journalist in Pakistan one way or another throw shit at Army , ISI , Govt and Judges without any repercussion.
IK appears to be alleging that the media may be getting compensated via unsavory means. The implication is that he'll sic the gov't on them. I don't doubt that has a suppressing effect, do you? At best, raising this issue brings up the larger issue of uneven - that is, politically directed - enforcement of laws in Pakistan. At worst, it carries the spectre of unlawful harassment of journalists by the authorities. (at least, I hope that's the worst.)...as IK said, when we ask these Media houses , how much tax you pay, how these so called Journalists have huge mansions in most expensive places in Pakistan ? how they got those luxury cars so they say, " Media black out " etc
