He is the man that won the only ODI (One Day International) World Cup for our nation in 1992; he is the man that was famous for his fast bowling and terrific pinch hitting; a man who laid the foundation and built the first ever cancer hospital in Pakistan;
a man who stepped up when the country required him and is now the only hope for Pakistan’s revival from dismal state; a man that is an ideal leader in the eyes of a majority of Pakistani’s, especially the youngsters. Yes, I am talking about the legend in the
world of cricket – Imran Khan.

Imran Khan switched his concentration on politics after seeing the bleak state of poor and helpless people of Pakistan. Majority of the citizens are unable to attain a proper meal, shelter and clothing and ironically it’s the same government and political
party that declared “roti, kapra aur makan” for every citizen of Pakistan.

The legend was summoned to court in London as he was accused of ball tempering by Pakistan’s arch rival Ian Bothom. He was then released of all charges by the court as there was no proof in favour of the claim put forward by the Englishman.

Since then Mr. Khan has been trying his level best to bring the youth of Pakistan on a single platform and unite them so that they can raise their voice against the cruelty and injustice prevailing in our state. It’s really annoying, when a person tries
to bring a positive change but is hampered by insulting remarks on his personal life and people forget, overlooking his professional achievements – this is exactly what is happening to Mr. Khan.

The controversy of his wife Jamaima Malik was on the top of the list and religious people claimed that the character of this man is questionable as he was accused of drinking and gambling as well. Bhutto tried to revive our state by going against America
and he was hanged right after. The politics is now game of power and not a platform for intellectual people to step in.

Imran Khan past through all these difficult times and his remarkable achievement in the field of cricket was more than enough to attract youngsters to his campaign of bringing justice and equality in Pakistan. Now, Pakistani youngsters all across the globe
favour this politician and the time is near when he will get his chance to rule Pakistan and bring back peace and humanity.

He is the only hope because every other political party has been tested by now and the results are in front of us. In Pakistan the inflation rate is almost 14 percent and huge interest rates are making it difficult for the companies to survive in Pakistan
because they are not able to bear the cost of loans and this can be disastrous in the long-run as foreign investment will diminish from the face of Pakistan.

Pakistan is doomed to meet disaster and if there is only hope for any recovery it’s in choosing the right candidate, the face of Imran Khan!

Imran Khan

I agree.. he always called youth to stand against corruption and the corrupt government.Even President Pervez Musharaf was also better than any till now. Economy was booming and poverty was reduced and the most advancement country did in any field was because of PM but again this Bhutto Family government brought us on the same page where we were left by Nawaz party. I don't know why the people of Pakistan went against PM even they were in a better state than before. People said we need democracy not a dictator ship but i will say whats the difference between the government of these bhutto and Nawaz families, its a dictator ship in the form of democracy because we never saw any new leaders, always the same repeating corrupt politicians.Sorry to say but our population deserve this because they are the one to chose them even after knowing the facts and they have to suffer their choice.

Such a beautiful year 2011 :(
So many hopes all lost

Why lost, he got KPK government and showed real change, feedback from local people is very positive, i dont want to list the achievements which KPK government achieved.. again IK Is not perfect but he is million times better than other used options...

well imran khan certainly deserves one chance of power in pakistan at central level as all others have been tested many times

If someone perform better in one field, it doesn't mean that the same person will surely do better in all other areans! For example, Gen. Raheel Sharif is the best army general Pakistan has ever produced but at the same time, he may not perform good in cricket ground, the way Mr. Imran khan did in 1992.

imran khan need to correct few things but I don't see him making any progress on them

1- he is very foul mouthed... he needs to correct his mannors
2- he has shown very little strategic insight.... to little to be in a responsible job... I would use his dharna last year as example.... there was no path or I would say chance of success.... he dashed into a war he could not have won..
3- he needs to distance him self and his feelings from Ttp... ttp has killed more Pakistani pakhtoons than americans and Russians combined multiplied by 10... his logics of endless negotiations and insistence that a military action will not succeed were beyond stupid.... it showed complete lack of strategic thinking. imagine if we had taken that policy of unlimited talks where would be today...and guess what ... military op was a resounding success....
4- he needs to stop dreaming of taking a short cut to power....
5- he needs to cut down on allegations... 90% of which are either proved wrong or don't have any proof....

otherwise he is a good person... I wish him best.

He deserves a chance but his..."Stubbornness" is of a 12 year old so is his political ways,I followed politics because of IK,But I learned and picked up what is right and what is not Imran khan seems to not be likewise.

There is a huge difference between Cricket and politics.
If Imran Khan came to power I am damn sure he will make KPK a separate country....

For point 2

Standing up for whats right and not compromising when the going gets tough is a rare quality that is losing its appreciative value among people. "Chalaki" is more valued.

Dharna i agree was not wrong... aim he set for dharna i.e to topple the government probably by 3rd party intervention was wrong... it was not the tactics but the aim which made it such a disaster....he probably lost half his vote bank in that episode...

If the aim was to correct the system and bring a fair electoral system for next election... he would have succeeded and won alot of sympathies...

But aim was topple this pm and make me pm like a 2 year old throwing a tantarum for chocolate...

And just think of it... if the pm was toppled by "umpire" they wont make him pm....

If pm was toppled and fair elections held... he would still lose...

3rd option was taken by "umpire" court medition... which he resoundigly lost...

If he had no brains to figure this much i really doubt he has brain for pm job
