Correct. PPP and ANP were so threatened by the Taliban thugs that the very lives of their electoral candidates was at risk in 2013 elections. Meanwhile, Imran Khan--who stood out by opposing the Swat operation in 2009--was duly requested to 'represent' the Talibans. Isn't Swat better now than in 2009?! In my opinion, given the way electioneering is conducted in the Sub continent, Imran Khan (along with PMLN) are the biggest BENEFICIARIES of the pre poll rigging.

All of us--even affluent people sometimes--the world over go through various trials in life. In Iman Khan's case they are so low that the govt can't touch him, the military can't touch him, and the Talibans won't touch him! And then his kids live in England. No wonder he makes up policies as he goes. No wonder he can run his mouth against judiciary, media, politicians, intellectuals..because he is PERSONALLY IMMUNE FROM ANY REPURCUSSIONS!

I beg to differ! Both Benazir Bhutto and ZAB had the kind of mass appeal unmatched in Pakistan's history since Jinnah. But these two didn't have the ARMY's backing and so they were duly neutralized. And please don't even pretend to compare IK with Jinnah.
