LONDON: Scotland Yard on Thursday has arrested one Pakistani suspect in connection with Mutahida Qaumai Movement (MQM) leader, Dr. Imran Farooqs murder in London.
London police informed today that they arrested one suspect for probe in a theft case; during investigation he also disclosed and admitted his involvement in the murder of Dr. Imran Farooq.
According to Scotland Yard, the arrested suspect lives in central London; he is 34 year old and belongs to Pakistan.
Scotland Yard is conducting raids to capture another suspect for being involved in the murder of Dr. Imran Farooq.
Farooq, 50, was a founding member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), a major force in Pakistan's biggest city Karachi.
On September 16, Dr. Imran was on his way back from work when he was ambushed. He was found with head injuries and stab wounds outside his London home and pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives recovered a kitchen knife and a brick used in the attack. SAMAA
