The only other time I recall them keeping their traps shut for longer than 24 hours was after the warning fire incident in September 2020. God knows what happened.

China's huge deployment on Ladakh Border, as well as, rapid development of infrastructure in border areas. What is happening, is totally out of India's recent calculations and assessments. They, sometimes ago, were confident that their conflict with China is frozen, for quite a foreseeable future.

Yep very true, China is a big part of the concerns India has. Since the statements are more directed towards Pakistan, I have a hunch that India is unsettled as it is learning of new weapons being unveiled and at a very fast pace, much more rapidly than it was expecting. Only time will tell, but I feel the next few months will be very interesting as far as weapons unveiling by Pakistan is concerned.
