The situation in the Musharraf era was different although I don't agree with some decisions taken back then. We were close to a Kashmir resolution.

Today it is a different story with Modi.

The statements he made during Musharraf's tenure should be seen in that context.

The Kashmiri people must decide the future status of their country. That is their inalienable right.
What is your rational response to that.

If war is to decide the fate of kashmir then it it should have done so in last 3 wars which pak lost to India...if India lose, pak might get kashmir or delhi but if they lose they will keep spreading venoms In form of jihad and terrorism, pak army will try to get more stronger to take revenge...extremism and nationalism will ruin their country and whole subcontinet will suffer....war is not the solution but accept the reality on ground and move on is the only solution for peace

And by your argument then Bangladesh, Burma, Pakistan,Sri Lanka etc should be part of India because they would be stronger as part of a bigger country. Or India could become a part of China because it would be stronger as part of a bigger nation.
By the same token why don't you allow the Kashmiris to become part of a bigger country, and one they identify with and one they want to belong to, Pakistan.
Peoples have the right to belong to any entity or none depending on who they identify with or who they emotionally feel a part of.
The Kashmiri people obviously identify with their Muslim brethren in Pakistan, the fact that Pakistani flags are displayed at demonstrations and funerals tells you all you need to know. You will never keep the Kashmiris by force.
The time for their liberation has never been closer.
