ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Monday cut off power supply to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala, Express News reported.

Three connections to the PTI chief’s residence were cut off today.

In September, IESCO had served a notice to Imran, issuing him a warning that power supply will be disconnected if dues for his residence in Bani Gala were not cleared.

Imran had set alight his electricity bill on September 19, as part of his civil disobedience campaign against the government while citing its failure to curb rampant power theft despite raising tariffs by 80% in a year. At D-Chowk in Islamabad, hundreds of PTI workers had followed suit and also set their bills on fire.
