It should be a modified base where aircrafts and other important systems are hidden in ground as its very close to border.
and one aircraft should be in flying mode 24X7 to have a look on pakistani border if any threat is available or not

Most likely but al bases near the border are susceptable to pre emptive strikes. But not all pre emptive strikes give the desired results. Especially given a country as large as India, no preemptive strike can take out so much so as to make its air-force useless.

Hence India is showing some sort of very minute alertness if the leadership in Pakistan takes some hard steps to tackle problems on their western front.This might effect India too so we need to guard our western border from any threat be it from Taliban or al Qaeda.

Most of the Air-bases of Pakistan is very close to border. On other side, Most of our bases where MKI are operational are far away from Pakistan border. (Like Pune, bareilly)

We are doing what Pakistan did long back.
