IAF inducts first C-295 transport aircraft at Hindan Air Force Station

It would be infesting to know that TATA can continues indefinitely producing this plane and possible others for the international marketplace after fulfilling the Indian requirement.
This would turn TATA into a full fledged aircraft manufacturer and would that not be something .:yahoo:

Laying the Foundation stone for the Varodra TATA Aircraft manufacturing Facility

I dont think Tata will get export license as long as Airbus Defense still want to produce this plane, but giving export lisence to India for South Asian market could happen despite it will be a very small market since you will not be able to sell it to Pakistan. Bangladesh is the only hope for around 10 planes only for the next one decade as long as Hasina still in power considering their military acquisition tendency.

This is the most difficult one, on how to sustain the business after Indian gov C295 order. The very likely possible way to sustain the bussiness is to be part of AMCA program or Indian future transport plane that currently is still under development (SARAS MK2)

So HAL can focus on fighter planes, while TATA for transport plane.

I would like to see TATA more focus on civilian planes In the future including military.

There are a lots of scope for small to medium category planes for regional connectivity in india, the next plane should be to produce 80-100 seater aircrafts in India.

Anyhow from the past decade, lots of changes are happening and moving positive direction after private players are involved. Navy is almost producing everything expect a few parts, army are also started getting key weapons from Local industry, only IAF is behind... Hope the things will change for them also

That will be interesting to see since India aerospace industry until now still rely on gov order with its Tejas program.

TATA I predict will try to focus as Airbus/Boeing supply chain as part supplier while for producing Indian design transport plane is still some how uncertain as Saras program for example runs pretty long with its MK2 has become entirely different design.

The most ambitious one if TATA want to design and develop new plane. So far I dont hear TATA has such plan.

it boggles the mind , how can india the military supapowa and manufacturing hub of west asia cant even make this simple 2 engined transport ? one can understand the incapability of india to make C130J as it might be beyond indian people's tech know how .. but this C295 is fairly simple aircraft with old history , it is not F35 heck it is not even F16..

that india cant make simple 2 engined turbo prop transport showed the world how low the quality of indian aerospace industry.. maybe india should start with 1 engined piston aircraft before dreaming of building AMCA ..

any indian on PDF still think india can make AMCA while in reality they cant even make 2 engined turboprop transport plane is just ... delusional

government run enterprises are inefficient. that is the story of Indian r&d. India could make their variant of C295 with imported engines and components. it would be an utter waste of R&D dollars when plenty of companies are willing to transfer technology for joint manufacturing venture.

There is more $$$ and expertise to be gained by embedding yourself in the Western supply chains in the short run

No i meant that Tata can focus on joint venture with other companies as like Boeing, airbus Or sukhoi superjet 100..... It will be a good start..

Not expecting they will able to design and develop a civil aircraft anytime soon.

why indian so proud in buying expensive junk from foreign weapon merchant when they cant even produce an assault rifle and majority of the country in poverty and hunger ?

they still think they can produce AMCA next gen fighter when they cant even make a turboprop transport..

the massive delusion , coupled with arrogance , and lazyness are what is holding back india as they become the SUPAPOWA OF LIARS

Their seems to be a massive shortage of Burnol in Pak-China-Indonesia
Where ever this guy is based out off.

Share your location
We will courier an emergency consignment of Burnol

Jalne ki booh aarahi hai

maybe indian should focus on working and studying instead of boasting about stuff they cant make or boasting about their fake degree / diploma

this is the MAIN REASON india will never become a modern country let alone a supapowa

because indian prefer to mouth off instead of working
