generals take poor decisions , poor soldiers die , without any strategic gains , generals keep living in their luxuury mansions without getting any punishment .

Its not just the terrain. The training and discipline is apathetic. Equipment is less than required, an Mi-17 converted to Gunship is not enough. Medical resources are not present in every war zone. Corruption is just another factor.

when did 50,000 trops died in in 36 months with no hope of winning? they are well looked fro after they are injured but not the afghans they are on contract with no grantee of anything..i am not surprised why there is corruption and desertion in the army
