Huawei Phones Had Bootleg Access to Google Apps. Not Anymore

So an opinion that doesn't agree with ccp is biased?
Like seriously, think about this.
you are accusing someone of lying over the phone they have... a phone.... just because they don't have the "right opinion"

If I had said "I own a P20 pro and it's the best phone ever" Would you be here accusing me of lying?
Of course not, because then I would have the "correct opinion"

Honestly, I am literally sitting here laughing that you are so upset on my opinion of a phone
Of cos , saying Huawei p20 pro is best is true. If not how did it score so high for DXMO and many other reputable smartphone review? :enjoy:

How is it finished, you drooling idiot? Leaving aside the certainty that Huawei will develop its own app store, the vast majority of its business is in China, where Google and its ilk have no presence.

The thing is, if it goes that route it will basically be a domestic brand then.
massive companies like Microsoft, Blackberry, Nokia has tried to break the Android/Apply duopoly and they have all failed. What chance does Huawei have?

If they don't have access to Android play, they won't gain any traction in the rest of the world.

I miss flip phones. No, I kid I kid :yahoo:

I’m actually grateful that smart phones have come a long way especially the upper echelon models.

modern gaming laptops are great too :enjoy:

I respect your opinion and I respect the review.
I personally have not liked it.

let me give you an example.

In most android phone, when you press the box icon, it shows you all the apps open and it takes you to the app you were on. for example

quick-scrub-android-p.png

lets say I was on the play store and I pressed the box button, I would see this.

But Huawei does it different.
In Huawei, when you press the box button, it shows the next app over.
This drives me nuts because I now have to hunt for my original screen.

See my friend, that is an example of an opinion I am allowed to have.
This is just one of many things I personally don't like about the phone.
I am also allowed to say I don't like that about the phone because in Canada we have laws that say I can different opinions.

seriously, lets be friends so I can help you also develop your own opinions, outside the force of entities.

What chance does Huawei have?
An excellent one. With the exception of Microsoft, whose core competence lies far from phones, the other companies are tiny and don't have a superpower backing them. I say this with some bitterness since the US screwed Research In Motion.

Huawei is massive, has been doing phones for a very long time, and does have a superpower backing it. Other companies' halfhearted efforts are irrelevant.

.... are you hearing yourself?
Nokia and Blackberry DOMINATED the world cellphone market and Microsoft is still one of the world's largest company.

"have a superpower backing them"

honestly, the biggest problem Huawei has is this.
People in the west are afraid that their personal information will end up in the CCP.

And even if that is not true, they have so many options that they can just buy another phone and be sure it doesn't end up with the ccp.

I honestly don't see Huawei making inroads in the west, the most lucrative phone market.
They will probably keep selling cheaper models to developing countries, but that will be about it.

I was recently in the us and could not even find a single Huawei phone on sale.

The "world cellphone market" was minuscule when Nokia, Ericsson, and Blackberry dominated it. We've moved on from their shoebox phones and they couldn't keep up. Even if Huawei's handsets are entirely gone from Europe (a laughable assumption, but one I'll grant for the sake of argument), Huawei will have to content itself with a fifth of humanity whose wealth is growing by leaps and bounds. Also, developing countries will enrich themselves in the coming years and decades enough to be able to afford Huawei products - I hope the BRI can help them accomplish this transformation.

Huwei is finished. Who'd buy Huwei outside of China in absence of Google aps? :D
That alone is enough to survive until over the years they develop their own OS. Chinese ppl are nationalistic especially when it comes to the west...they would buy Huawei phones.

This threat of Android system being cut off at any time would probably prompt other Chinese cell phone makers like Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, etc. to also look into having a third operating system that won't be cut off at a moment's notice. Huawei would suffer considerable losses and if those other Chinese phone makers are smart...they should at the very least band together and work on a third OS with Huawei...at least behind the curtain. So that if they are ever cut off and are in need to switch...they can easily do so without facing such huge losses. While on the surface they can stick with android for as long as possible so they can sell worldwide. Over the years this third OS would develop enough to have all the comparable services that android has.
Imagine spending $1000 to get a phone where you can't even open Youtube app looool
I personally don't use the YouTube app...never really used it when I had the iPhone...and haven't used it much on my galaxy S10 either. Just tried it a couple of times to view videos in that full screen mode u can do on galaxy S10s...just to check it out...but never really got in the habit of it. I just open YouTube in the browser(safari before, chrome now) while surfing the web. So at least for me, YouTube app or the lack of it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

The fear of my data on my steam account ending up in Malicious hands is also scary.

Many Hwei staff will lose job and make CN jobless force become much higher :pop: (abt 285 mil over 900million Cnese workforce dont have stable jobs now )
----------

They either form a 'commando squad' to explore new projects -- in which case they could be promoted to company commander if they do well. Or they can find jobs in the internal market. If they fail to find a role, their salaries will be cut every three months.

true
but with apple the worst that will happen is they will sell you adds.

If it ends up with the ccp.... well we have threads here on organ harvesting, anti Islam movement in China, etc.
