Huawei builds IP training centre at BUET

Architect Yeafesh Osman, state minister for Science and Technology, inaugurates Huawei builds IP training centre at BUET.
Worlds leading telecom solution provider, Huawei Technologies, set up Internet Protocol (IP) training centre at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on Tuesday.
The IP training centre will be helpful in developing skilled and efficient manpower in IP sector by providing high-quality training to the students, general people and professionals working in the IP sector. Such initiative will help to create job opportunities for the trained people both at home and abroad, hoped Architect Yeafesh Osman, state minister for Science and Technology, while inaugurating the training center as chief guest.
Rashed Khan Menon, MP, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education Ministry, Professor Dr. S. M. Nazrul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of BUET, Mr. Yang Zhaohui, political counselor, Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China and Mr. Wonder Wangdexian, CEO, Huawei Bangladesh, were present at the inaugural ceremony.
Huawei under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) developed the IP training center worth 540,000 USD by providing equipment.
Huawei also built a GSM laboratory worth 3 million USD that creates opportunity for the BUET students to be familiar with the latest GSM technology, Setting up IP training center will assist in implementing the Digital Bangladesh programme announced by government of Bangladesh, said Wonder Wangdexian.
