How much do corrupt Babus(Bureacrats) make in your country/state/city?

I posted this out of curiosity. Since I come across people who know some bureaucrats personally talk about their under the table income.

From what I hear, a corrupt IAS officer makes about 50 crores on an average in an year. Some even make more than 100 crores.

A class I officer (non-IAS) in mumbai earns around 5 crores or so. A class III officer in mumbai makes around 20,000-40,000 in a day.

If you have some knowledge about this, please do share.

I dunno about the gazetted officers but I belong to a public own utility company where normal salaries are as high as private sector. Even in my company corrupt officers have assets both in Pakistan and Canada worth billions.

I might be wrong but the worst corruption in Pakistan is not the financial corruption its the intellectual corruption. The politicians and civil services people are chutias and dunno anything but its the professionals like me who give wrong ideas which result in failed projects.

You are overestimating massively.
IAS do not earn 50 crores a year.
They earn at best a couple of crores a year. The tens of crores they make comes to them only at the very end of their careers when they become Secretaries.

These IAS's with 100 crores and above have their total wealth accumulated over their entire years of service - generally over 30 years. It is uncommon for IAS's to have accumulated beyond 100 crore. Those are outliers who managed to do this.

It generally translates to around a crore each year if you average it out for most. There are years with no additional income, then a couple of years in which major contracts are executed which gives windfall to them.

The thing they do is that they buy property because its the easiest to use black money for, and over time their property also appreciates - say a 10 crore plot becomes 50 crore plot in 6-7 years. Their black income however was just 10 crores from their corruption.
Now that property is not rising as fast, the wealth of these IAS's is also not rising as fast.

And not all IAS/IPS are corrupt.

I dunno. But I think IAS officers in tier 1 cities must be earning more. Cuz you have to pay a lot get posted over there. Again lot of people say this. I don't know anybody personally.

Non-IAS class makes around 20-50 lakh. Ofcourse these are just aggregates, there are many who earn much more and many who earn much less.

Yes exams in Pakistan are fairly conducted. Never heard of unfair means in CSS exams. CSS officer here are also doctors and engineer but they are not of the field. Most of them at Joint Secretary and Secretary level people have also spent time in ivy league schools, yet I consider them chutiyas when it comes to making decisions
