When PM Khan visited China last year, his minions screamed, "look, look, Imran Khan got a photo shoot with the Chinese businessmen, wow, just wow." However, the PM came home empty-handed and only a promise to help Pakistan.

A year later, Pakistan has so far received some chanda from China thanks to PM Khan's intense negotiations.

Now, the PM visited the US on a three-day visit. What for? What exactly did he achieve? What economic, trade negotiations were discussed exactly?

Last year, President Trump accused Pakistan of being a bad boy and disrespecting his country. However, he has now announced in front of PM Khan, well done, you're now a good boy and you've learnt to respect America.

Did the PM only go there just to get a shabaash?

First there is an understanding , it takes massive amount of time to make deals. Signing of MOU have no value unless the countries are on one page. This was not a typical tour, people who know about international relations know very well about that.

Some people are so stupid, they dont understand the purpose of visit. But than these are same people who come up with "khata hy tu lgata bhi hy".

The member thinks that it's just two dudes having a meet up. Shake hands and deals done. Walk out loaded with signed papers !

Fortunately, it does not work that way. What understandings and undertakings are reached go through a complex process before they can be implemented as real steps that people can see. Just give PMIK some time to deliver, as I keep saying.

This meeting has created a positive vibe, opened the door and there is promise of much tangible good to come out of it. Now it is for both sides to build on this. This will decide whether this even was harbinger of real change. I am cautiously optimistic.

I agree with you here. I even said it before the meetings started that the outcomes will be surprisingly positive. Let the good times roll, as they say (and I said that too. :D )

All that PM Khan and his minions do is ask for more time to somehow magically bring about $200 billion from abroad (as other countries will enjoy losing $200 billion to Pakistan) while in the process cause $200 billion damage to the economy.

First, they asked for one day to fix the economy, then one month, then three, then six months, then it was one year, then five and now they're asking for 10-years.

Come ten years, they'll be asking for twenty-five years.

Let us give them their first term in office to deliver, nothing more and nothing less, for starters and then go from there. That is the fair and correct thing to do here.

One thing is for sure, irrespective of whether good comes out of this [which is certainly possible] is that Mozlem hatin, Jew lovin, White lovin Trump got on great with Imran Khan. Nobody can doubt both leaders really hit it off. This personal chemistry offers much lubrication to get things done.

I don't think so. Fair and correct method according to PTI is 126 day long dharna and "civil na farmaani" costing the country at least 2% loss to the national GDP, don't you think?

That photo with PMIK, flanked with COAS Bajwa, ISI chief etc being wined [mmm] and dined by Trump at the White House is as far as possible from the image of a isolated, rogue, terrorist, failed Pakistan that was all the rage few years ago. At one point Trump ploughed into Iran as being "liars, cheats" but then looked to PMIK and said "Pakistan is NOT like that".

And they say a week is long in politics ....

Fair comment, but please keep in mind that USA goes more by due process than by personality cult, much to the chagrin of the current President. :D

That script was not directed by PTI, which had the leading role only on stage.
