My point is that you can't claim a country is banning Islam while it has 40,000 mosques all across the nation, China has more mosques than those of western world combined.

China does have not a small Muslim populaton due to her great tolerance to all religious groups, if China were really what the west claims to restrict Islam to the core, there wouldn't be any Muslim left. Muslims as the fastest growing community in China itself shows how inclusive Chinese policies are.

About same population size in China and western world combined. China is not majority muslim even in many parts of western China. Mostly only in concentrated area. Western world have a lot of muslim immigrants from Europe to USA and Canada all combined and they complain so much about it.

China is only tolerant of groups that are no threat or little threat and can be useful or must be tolerated to preserve peace. Once a group is anti-government it doesn't matter if it is Han Chinese Fa Lun Gong or Muslims or Christians or Bhuddists. All will be dealt with because they threaten the greater peace. So the governmnet is not tolerant at all. More accurate is it is watchful and will act quickly and harshly to any group. This is different to western system.

India was used to be a Muslim ruled nation for centuries while China never was, but China had co existed peacefully with Muslim world for a thousand years, we never had crusades against each other.

But there was a lot of fighting. Not because of religious war, just normal disputes and fighting. Especially when Mongolians took over China and Khans decendents fight further west. There's no bad blood like between christian and muslims but there was fighting.

7 million Muslims in US. American government always downplays our population. We also mostly do not get involved in politics because both major parties are anti-Muslims.
