Of course, the poultry and meat available for our ancestors were cage free, organic fed and free range. Even now, the country chicken you get in villages has relatively way lower fat content. Idk if you've seen the chicken breasts of generic walmart brand in the US but they look like they're fed on steroids. The breasts alone are the size of a whole chicken you get in India. The chicken here also doesn't inherently have flavor unlike our desi ones which is why I always marinate overnight for the flavor to seep inThe broiler chicken nowadays available is most harmful for health i guess. They r grown in 30 days and given weird stuff. Many times high arsenic been found. They cause hormone issues. I say eat anything u want but make sure its organic and natural and exercise. U wont have any health issues ever. My elders used to pour a cup of pure desi ghee onto everything they ate, but they never had heart or health issues, all were strong n had long lives. The reason, they used to work alot. Their life was very physical and thus never had health issues.
Woah, beef is like 1/3rd the cost of lamb/goat. It's pretty much the same in US where beef is kinda priced on par with chicken. I read a lot here about pakistanis love for meat..thats why asking this question...how many days a week you eat meat...and are there any vegetarians over there...does everyone love meat?

I mostly get my chicken from the local Afghan or Indian store which kinda tastes better than american grocery chains though slightly price. When it comes to beef, I did try in a few pakistani restaurants but didn't really like beef in desi recipes...maybe I haven't been to the right restaurants. But I do like beef in western cuisines though

If meat excludes fish then twice a week. If meat includes fish then everyday.I read a lot here about pakistanis love for meat..thats why asking this question...how many days a week you eat meat...and are there any vegetarians over there...does everyone love meat?

Not sure how grocery store chicken is in UK but farmed chicken in South Asia isn't as bad as what you get in the west. For instance, the farmed chicken in South East Asia have a relatively yellowish skin compared to the bland white ones of the west. They're both better tasting IMO for desi recipesFree range desi chicken is amazing. Superb flavour. I only have it in Pakistan but nowadays even in our villages people tend to have battery chicken. Its very sad.
Haha true man...i ate biryani once in andhra...i dont know how those guys could call it biryani.
Andhra doesn't really term their biryani as "biryani" unless it's made Hyderabadi style. They always call their biryanis as "pulao". In Tamil Nadu, even the renowned Dindigul Thalapakatti Biryani was actually invented by an Andhra Settler named Nagasamy Naidu which is why it tastes very close to Andhra PulaoHaha true man...i ate biryani once in andhra...i dont know how those guys could call it biryani.

Pakistanis add chicken and mutton pieces when the rice is boiling( not layered )...they dont taste anywhere near hyderabadi biryani and its a shame they are called biryani in the first place...as that board outside thhe restaurant correctly puts it they should be called pulao or chicken or mutton masala rice.
