Why incredible? As long as the thrust equals the G-pull down the plane will remain stationary; the key think to note is the angle of the plane and the direction of the thrust.

This is just a normal slow pass being filmed from front.

if you look it from side you will feel the actual speed of movement. although I must admit it is a slower than usual due to thrust to weight ration being high.
