One side they are bragging about being one of the top largest economies, chandrayaan, super power etc, on the other side a large number of foreign aids and NGOs pouring into the country for poverty reductions. This is a huge contradiction between their MSM and the reality. The country is also very much energy dependent without any real effort in place for energy independence. Foreign remittance dependence the Sunnis Arab states is another issue. To further summarize, India is a bubble waiting to go bust at given moment.
