Housekeeping Staff's Daughter Raped By Driver In US Embassy: Delhi Police

A five-year-old girl was raped on the US Embassy premises in Delhi's Chanakyapuri late last week, police said. The accused -- a driver -- has been arrested and sent to judicial custody, they added.

Police said that the girl, the daughter of a housekeeping staffer at the embassy, was lured by the accused and raped on Saturday morning. Her family approached the Chanakyapuri police the following day, after which a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The US embassy clarified that the driver was not an employee. "We were deeply disturbed by the alleged misconduct. We promptly took action when we were informed of the allegation, and brought this matter to the attention of the police. Of course, we are cooperating fully with them," a spokesperson said.

Do yo know why Indians do not come and speak because we dont find people are here serious about on rape incidents. People here used a tool if any such incidents happens to attack on India, Indian society and Indians.

But they forget even they are facing the same challenges in their countries. Example is below:
