The end of the Pakistan-India match took an ugly turn as enraged Indian players attacked the Pakistan team, who leveled the match by scoring a goal in the last minute in the Tri-Series in Busselton on Friday.

Syed Imran Shah and Shafqat Rasool sustained injuries in the brawl as the match referee stepped in to end the fight.

Earlier, Pakistan lost against world champions Australia by scoring a 3-1.

The tournament is underway in Busselton in which India, Australia and Pakistan have participated.

India and Australia played their first match on Wednesday whereas Pakistan and Australia played theirs yesterday. Today (Friday) was the third match of the Tri-Series.

India and Pakistan have fought three wars, mainly over Kashmir, since gaining independence from Britain in 1947. The Nuclear-armed countries have maintained an often bitter rivalry that has often spilled onto the sports field.

Hockey war: Furious Indian players attack Pakistan team – The Express Tribune

such a ridiculuous news in ages.. indian players must be taught some sportsmanship as well.. shame on Indian Team for such a shameful act.. Indian hockey management must take action against culprit players..

if true then it is highly regrettable ....can any another source be provided and also any video footage , so that we get to know how did it actually happen......

It's all due to hostility b/w India and Pakistan affecting players from both side... Hope both team will play next game with true sportsmanship..

who knows who attacked who?.....its a pakistani source get some neutral.

What would be a neutral source? An Indian one? Why would anyone else want to report it besides the Indian media or the Pakistani media. Btw, The Tribune, like Dawn is a highly impartial source (sometimes even more Western than Pakistani).

Even from this source, you can see that two Pakistani players got injured, & one Indian did. Why would a Pakistani player want to initiate a physical fight with an Indian one, considering the fact that it was Pakistan that scored 3 goals (the final one scored in the last minute) when India was leading by 3 goals?
