A 32-year-old Hindu moves to Gujarat High Court to convert in Islam as the Petitioner's application is pending from the last one year

A 32-year-old Hindu man, who has been wanting to convert to Islam, filed an application in the Gujarat High Court on Friday seeking a direction to authorities in Bharuch district to expedite the process as the petitioner’s application is pending for the last year.

Counsel M.T. Syed, who appeared on behalf of petitioner Jignesh Patel, informed the High Court on Thursday that the Bharuch Collector had been holding Patel’s application for more than a year, while a sub-divisional magistrate inquiry report in February 2020 gave a favourable opinion in this regard to allow the petitioner to convert to Islam.

Justice Bela Trivedi directed the District Collector to take a decision on Patel’s application as soon as possible well within eight weeks. Patel’s lawyer said, “The application for permission of the Collector in Bharuch has been pending for more than a year. The petition was filed to give directions to the collector for a decision on the application.”

India is on a race with North Korea to have all kinds of ridiculous laws !

But I appreciate the courage of this guy

Looks like balls of steel with immense faith in one God

Far better than our desi murtads

I know what you are saying, on an individual level, people have the courage to do remarkable things.

But, collectively the Muslims of India are dead, still waiting for that wake up call, part of me hopes it comes tomorrow, but a part of me wishes India takes a reverse course very soon, so that the wake up call never comes.
I think we both know, if the Muslims of India decide to rise, the whole region will burn like nothing before, it will be very hard for us to stay out of it. I would rather avoid that scenario.

So, for me, shaming India for all the claims it made since its independence is a compromise, just shame them, and throw it in their face, hoping the country goes into reverse gear. because, I don't like the future I am seeing. I am not afraid, heck no, but worried for lose of innocent lives, yes, very much so.

I understand what you are saying and I do agree with you too

But somethings are written in destiny to happen. No matter how much we try to avoid they would happen. Same is the case with threat that you have mentioned in your post
