High speed railway speeds up Xinjiang development
@beijingwalker — you updated it so fast, I just thought to post it here, but good you already did and good that I looked around first :p:

An informative footage about the much positive effects the HSR brings about to the lives of people residing along that line. Interestingly this footage also shares the great technical challenges presented by the steady high-velocity wind gust, occurring in 200 days throughout the year. The engineer said that Chinese railway experts learned a lot from this line given its harsh nature, some experiences that no other countries have mastered due to the lack of such opportunity! That without the technical mastery by the Chinese railway experts, the economic development alone wouldn't have brought this very challenging line into existence, he's quoted as saying that Japanese railway must stop the operations of its HSR lines during typhoons but the Chinese one can go on operating uninterruptedly in Xinjiang's high-velocity wind gust.

A cool piece of footage that I gonna share around with my contacts through the other medium.
