New televised interview talking about state of Hezbollah, Israel's operation, Syria and other foreign policy issues. Number 67 in the chain of tweets seems to confirm that Hezbollah with assistance of Iran locally produces precision missiles. Other matters also discussed:

You can click on link to view full twitter thread(translation of interview). Hezbollah is a player in regional politics. So share your thoughts on this interview. No emotional rants against or for them. Just keep this analysis based. Sectarian posts will be reported(including pro-shia islamic Iran troll posts). No anti Saudi Arabia or other off topic posts either.

I'll give my analysis of the interview and latest state of Hezbollah. Again, keep posts analysis based. No cheerleader , troll, sectarian, or off topic posts allowed. Such as these:

1.) "I hope Israel kicks their butt..." or opposite ....
2.) "They support brutal dictator Assad..."
3.) "So and so are agents of Israel, Assad prevailed and Islamic Iran is the best"

^^

These are trash low quality posts that are ruining many threads in this section. We need to make this section more refreshing, welcoming and appealing than its current ongoing state. This goes for me too.

My brief overview:

Objectives: Purpose of interview was to break silence on now finished Israeli operation on border with Lebanon in which Israel destroyed six tunnels it claimed belonging to Hezbollah. Also to address regional affairs that concern the movement, like Syria and anticipated US pullout from Syria. As well as well as recent Arab positions towards Assad regime.

Lebanese-Israeli tensions:

Hezbollah general Nasrallah addressed israeli operation, tunnel capabilities and operational plans in event of an Israeli war on Lebanon. From his comments, we can retrieve that Hezbollah adapts and renews it's military tactics to deal with Israeli innovations that can limit Hezbollahs ability to deal a blow to Israel. Such as dealing with the cement barrier on the border or ability to acquire weapons it needs. He emphasized battlefield preparedness of the movement and affirmed that they would respond if Israel launched strikes on Lebanon. Also new he confirmed Hezbollah has precision missiles and can locally produce them. This will probably be a discussion point in Israeli media as Israeli govt was threatening over the past months that it will strike these sites were these precision weapons are produced. It briefed France and the US on this. Hezbollah general statements left the israelis with lots of assumptions. So it will make Israel rethink and study carefully any attack on Lebanon.

Syria:

Its known Hezbollah supports Assad so not going into this too much. Nasrallah was presenting his analysis on situation there. Primarily US pullout and potential Turkish operation in Syria. It was a pretty basic analysis as its too early to tell if US pullout will certainly happen and what role will Turkey continue playing in Syria. Not much new here.

US policy in Middle East and Afghanistan:

He was trying to make an understanding of new US policies in region under Trump. And US pullout from Afghanistan.

Hezbollahs future:

Not much here, Hezbollah will continue playing same role it plays in Lebanon. Defending Lebanon from Israel. Also will remain in same Iran led alliance. They have had success in earning themselves a long term role in Lebanese politics which is difficult to achieve as an paramilitary non-state movement which is considered a terror org by the US. Taliban is a bit more impressive in remaining an influential movement in Afghanistan but nevertheless still an achievement for Hezbollah.

Nasrallah overall approach :

Nasrallah is passionate about his role and uses a lot of logic/reasoning. He doesn't come off sectarian in this interview and acknowledges roles/influence of some Sunni parties in the region and not opposed to them. He gives Hezbollah a more independent overall image as opposed to what we hear in Israeli media about Hezbollah being an Israeli proxy or by Iranian members here who make it appear like they have total control over Hezbollah. Nasrallah makes it clear they have their own interests as Lebanese also. And he sees himself as representative of southern Lebanese and looks after them and his movement as opposed to being a total Iranian proxy.

This guy is desperate. Spending 12 years hiding under ground.

Read the rules in the OP, this is not what I want. As an Israeli you can give us brief overview of how Israeli media is reacting to the interview. It's not much new or major, but I'm sure local hebrew Israeli media is covering it. That would be a much more relevant post from you.

He is just Khamenai puppet. What does it matter what he is babbling? You can post Press TV articles there. Same exactly nonsense.

As I said, if you don't care about topic and want to make low quality posts just leave the thread. I explicitly stated in OP no trolling or smearing in the thread. The section is already filled with too much smear type posts that is causing people to quit the forum. Whatever biases people have, they should not resort to smears and rhetorical rants.
