Here goes Half of Indian $1 billion to dustbin

Lol, I know Indian railway is very advanced and is seen as a model for development by many countries, I was just trying to say DMUs has different versions, the version which is planned by Bangladesh looks like the one which I posted!!

Thank you for your complement and buying railway engines from India. :D But the thing is above train is not the DMU but a bullet train. Can you post the proper picture of Chinese DMU trains.

Here is the info on the train you posted

China Railways CRH3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its a Chinese version of the Siemens Velaro high-speed train.

Actually the company which signed the deal with GoB is Tangshan Railway Vehicle, the same that manufactures the CRH3 EMUs, and according to the media, the deal says Bangladesh will get multiple unit commuter trains, it could be either EMU or DMU!! So technically I've posted the right image, the trains which we are getting!! I could be wrong, we have to wait till trains are delivered!!

You guys are getting DMU with service speed of 80km/hr. Same as what Ghana Railways got.

Bangladesh's Railway inks train procurement contract with Chinese company

According to Tangshan Railway Vehicle, each set of DEMU, which consists of three units, can carry 300 passengers. The service speed of DEMU is 80 km per hour.

Hope this will solve the issues in the railway!!

No it wont. Rather it will fail the project as it runs on electricity. Look at the countries electricity crisis. Load shading continues even in winter!! what will happen to this train if it comes under load shading!!! Need more power plants in the country to support something like this.
So, the crisis remains and increases with this.

The trains which are ordered will run by both diesel and electricity!! We have to take these steps dude, because of the shortage of electricity we can't just be sitting!! Anyways, the energy capacity is increasing, so hope for the best!!

Different media said different things, I didn't hear about the speed of those trains!! The sample train which was showed by the former communication minister was similar to what I posted!! Anyways, I read the news here

That was from Xinhua news, that has to be right. Besides 20 train sets for 53 Million dollars including maintenance equipment, you won't get anything better than that.

Electric train does not run the power of the national grid. They will have their own power plants.
