Henry Kissinger: US No Longer World’s “Indispensable Country” When China Clearly Rivals It

Think China has some way to go before it becomes as powerful as US(circa 2030).

However US will have the edge as it has rich and powerful allies and most people prefer US culture to Chinese culture.

It's a long term game, Chairman Xi told his team " dont underestimate toughness of the West".

china is not even in the same league as first world countries, sure it has grown a lot in last few decades, and has emerging economy, and manufacturing sector but that's where comparison ends.

USA is too dominating in other fields other than GDP growth.

regards
China is also the world biggest trading nation, shipping nation, industrial nation.

WRONG!.............america is a power on the wane wheras China is set to become the world's FIRST EVER Global HYPER-POWER!.

USA is too dominating in other fields other than GDP growth. Majority of innovation come from the USA. The multicultural and global society represented in USA cannot be compared to ''HAN'' china, its even striving to convert non HAN as HAN chinese, USA has cultural dominance as stated by another user, nobody is gonna adopt noodle soup based cuisine in any coming future.

regards

Multicultural has failed.

Ok, please explain....

The indigenisation of producing advanced sciences and technologies comparable to the White nations + the world's biggest economy + advanced huge industries and infrastructure will ensure this....... China is the world's FIRST & ONLY non-White nation that can independently produce advanced sciences and technologies comparable to the White race...........:azn:

"independently produce advanced sciences and technologies comparable to the White race"

Not there yet. It will take another 10-20 years to reach the levels of the US.

About becoming a "hyper-power", they have zero rich and powerful friends.
USA has many like Japan, Germany, UK etc.

3. solve it issues withe neighboring countries, china is basically at war with every neighboring country sane Pakistan and nepal...it has created issues in south china sea as well
Wrong, China has 14 neighbors,( China has the largest number of neighbours (14) sharing its 22,000km land borders namely: North Korea, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam) most of them have very friendly relations with China.

China is also the world biggest trading nation, shipping nation, industrial nation.
China also has the world best infrastructure, China produces almost half of the world steel, copper, alluminium, concrete, building world's best and longest highways, subways, bridges, ports, airports, trains stations, high speed railways..

Chinese weakness is lack of true allies...it has none, it is surrounded by enemies, and this is due to Chinese blunders..
China is surrounded by friendly nations, not enemies, and the only neighbor that really matters to China is Russia, which we enjoy good relations with. and what China wants to do is to balance US power, not global hegemony, so China doesn't have to spend trillions on those so called allies to have bases in them and prop up their economy, that will bankrupt US and Trump realized it himself.

Vietnam is neither a friend nor a foe, just another communist country. Taiwan is not a country, Japan and Korea themselves are fighting each other, and they are not land neighbors of China. South China Sea is far away, it's peace and quiet, arguing between nations are common, but in essence, they all heavily depend on China's investments. India is never China's worry, relations between China and India is never that bad as it seems.

everything is good till war comes...china focus is simple money..but money isnt everything(it is most of the things)
taiwan is a country, a big one till it is settled by force

In the past 20 years US was busy fighting wars around the world with its allies and China quietly developed her economy, the result is clear for the world to see. We don't need those so called allies, they are more like blood suckers and can switch camp any time, we'll keep doing what we have been doing, developing ourselves to a new level.
