I definitely do so..I am verifying everything which is being said or printed in indian and pakistani media...the only online news website which is somewhat reliable is dawn(just a bit better than others)..indian and pakistani media have stooped to a level that we have to verify them by going over some international news agency..what a shame !
The one that I recently did check over was this pakistan russia combined operations getting cancelled..this I first saw in times now..Arnab was screaming breaking that news..credit should be given to ndtv for not airing anything related to it when all the news channels were scrolling that news.
Even the recent surgical strikes were reported by news papers nd channels as they wished..everyone came up with their own stories nameing some anonymous source.
I don't doubt surgical strikes..I know army or modi wouldnt lie to the nation blatantly but I am against this rubbish reporting without any accountability.

NDTV will troll when Modi's pants are on fire. They are silent because someone else's is.
Opposite for Goswami.

I never lost faith in the media.

I never had one in the first place.

As opposed to what? Fox News? CNN? BBC? Remind me how credible they were when the US and UK administrations blatantly lied to their respective citizens and led them to war.

Or a better example - how media powerhouses like CNN have enabled someone like Trump repeatedly, to the point where they hired an ex Trump Campaign honcho as a CNN analyst/contributor. I wonder how objective he's going to be

Plus when it comes to matters relating to the military, the press are in a bad place - anyone who dares to criticize them is immediately labeled ANTI NATIONAL/UNPATRIOTIC. This is sadly something we're seeing more and more in this region.

why rely upon the media for everything ? people like to see it in black and white.

Dawn is spreading a lot of crap this time.
Only one which Are credible are Indian Express and The Hindu in India.

Why? He's the same as Goswami. Right winger, who can't see his nation ever doing anything remotely wrong and will toe the party line no matter how ridiculous it makes him sound.

He is a ridiculous ultra-conservative, racist. Goswami is informed and for the most part unbiased. You can't fault the man for loving his country.

Guy is brilliant! He isn't afraid of speaking the truth.

It is healthy to read from a wide variety of sources.

Like if I see news of a bombing in Iraq, the International media (BBC/CNN/etc.) is filled with photographic and video evidence of the event. Same with my local HK media and Mainland media, they are all reporting the same story with the same pictures and videos.

However the news from South Asia these days is all "he said she said" and there is always zero proof. Every news outlet reports something different, with no evidence anywhere. The phantom surgical strikes for example.

Rumours are presented as facts, such as the supposed "Pakistani markings" found on the guns of the Uri attackers (proven later to be completely false). And 33% of NASA scientists are Indians, etc.
