Has India Secured Ladakah Border from China ?

Thanks for sharing man! Initial report was very balanced unlike some media houses which only want to flare up tensions. The reporter properly explained the institutionalized mechanism how each side addresses these concerns.

Five minutes into the video and wonderful panel.;)

The answer in short is NO.
There are two ways to secure borders. Politically and militarily. Actually both.
The best and the surest way to secure the borders against a powerful neighbor like China is to amicably resolve the border dispute and both countries are working towards it.
Militarily, the job is far more difficult given China's vast superiority. It involves improving our defence capabilities in border areas to the point of achieving a status of dissuasive deterrence vis-a-vis China the implications are that China will not attack because the cost of such attack in terms of men and materiel will be so huge so as to be prohibitive. We are working on this too.

We do not want war but we do not have our eyes shut to Chinese activities and capabilities.

In a future conflict, there is little chance that PLA would attack the Eastern Ladakh.Just look at the terrain on google earth-a barren wasteland with virtually no cover.Such a terrain is not suited for attacker.Instead, they will most likely attack the NE which has lots of covers due to the thick jungle. So we need to give more protection to NE than Ladakh.

NE also pose a very different and difficult terrain to PLA. The high Himalayas are a logistical nightmare and thick forest and swampy land does not make an ideal place for ingress.
