You tune in to any western tv you will see Indian Sharma or Patel sitting on TV as an anchor allegedly representing , minorities !!!

All South Asians have a common way of speaking English which distinguishes them whether you want to believe it or not. That's why people can always tell that we're from South Asia. Because our accent of speaking English is much closer to each other than to say south East Asian or middle East. Stop pretending to be blind.

The proxy war has also spread to the UK, where the pk diaspora continues to misinterpret the malevolent use of the word "Asian" or "south Asian" as somehow a mechanism by which both communities will be advanced. As soon as Indians get into power on the "Asian/south Asian" ticket, they suddenly show their true colours - rapidly forming cliques and coalitions with Indians, promoting ties between India and UK in professional spheres, leaving the Pakistani diaspora who helped them out to dry.

The mischief is readily apparent:

"We're all Asians" ....until we feel like calling Pakistan a failed state, a terrorist state or anything else we choose.

But fear not, multiple diaspora organisations in UK at least are onto the Indian scheme and are actively reminding their members of precisely this trap.

Pakistani diaspora members generally CANNOT TRUST indian diaspora members for the minute we turn our back, they will strike, though some caveats exist.

Sikhs, Indian Christians, Indian Muslims, south Indians and left wingers are exceptions and warrant a case by case analysis. Indeed many of these communities are revulsed by the same Hindutva threat that seeks to harm Pakistanis.

Like you, I am maddened that this Indian documentary maker has dragged Pakistanis into his supposed "objecting community" by use of The south Asian ticket.

I have no objection whatsoever to Apu and am very pleased that his character exists. If Hank Azaria is listening, Pakistanis want you to continue doing What you do.

It's only Indians who are complaining, and even then only a subset of easily offended ones.
