Can anyone please explain in brief the difference between a federal minister and a minister of state?

I think federal minister has a higher rank than the state minister.

If the sources are correct, than it's our PM who is to blame --- Hafeez Sheikh also served in PPP govt without delivering anything good, wasn't our PM aware of this??

IMF was not entertaining Pakistan, let alone giving Pakistan anything.. and government required money to keep things going..

His work is finished now.... but I don't think he can be sidelined this easily..

There's no way boss.. have discussed this with so many people.... PTI took the government (or given the government) when two parties left nothing.. 25 billion current deficit and 95 billion loan? Which equation can solve the problem?
Government thought that with IK in power, investors will start trusting the government, and a lot of investors/ FDI will come to the country, that will also solve the balance of payment crisis.. but it didn't happen as expected.. There is no foreign investment coming to the country.. Even the overseas Pakistanis aren't investing in Pakistan so you can imagine what a foreigner with no roots in Pakistan will think.. specially when they have India and Bangladesh to invest in.. plus the political situation is not very encouraging for foreign investors.. a lot of red tape is still there that should have been addressed in the first few months..
Government tried to decrease the imports, with that import tariff income also decreased.. although it decreased the current account deficit.. so government had to increase the taxes.. but another wrong step was that it didn't broaden the tax base... big agriculturalists still don't pay anything... because agriculture income is broadly tax free..
A lot of help was provided by friends but that's not enough.. simply put.. we are going through an extremely shitty period..

Federal minister is also called Cabinet Minister in UK and many other country that have parliamentary democracy.
Cabinet Minister can only be from the elected members and mostly from the ruling party. State minister acts more like an advisor.

Well establishment rigged the 2013 election to bring PMLn into power or more precisely keep PTI out of the power. It was rigged so much so that PTI did not even get opposition leader position. So if I was in IK's position, I would have said "Fcuk you!!! go deal with the mess you created yourself"
So, if IK is trying the clean the mess created by them, they should be grateful otherwise Pakistan is doomed...Not because of NS or Zardari but the people who let them plunder and just sit end enjoyed their terms.

FDI's - Rightly said, PK is competing with India & Bangladesh. Red tape needs to turn into "One stops shops". Law & Order needs a major overhaul. The number of prisons & prisoners quadrupled.

Tax - Again very valid point, In terms of % the poor, then the middle class pays the max. The rich pay pittance. Unless this changes, no real change has come.
