Halal: an untapped trillion dollar industry.

Still doesnt still refute my point- at all.

And u've just stated a gravely-erroneus point in your post

A F&B estsblishment cant sell both halal or non-halal dishes/food items at the same time. In order to be certified Halal, it HAS(it is NOT an option, like what u have suggested- its mandatory)to sell everything prepared/conforming to Halal-defined methods.

So a f&b outlet is either halal or non-halal, never '''both'.

Which is y Im refering to ALL sectors of the halal certification process.

On the vegetarian part:

Also, this is why i said indian dishes are readily ''halal' by nature. U stated:

Yet then goes on to reaffirm my observation that indian cuisine is already naturally halal.

The question is what % of restaurants are halal certified?

Also there is no choice most of times. When you are travelling you may be a forced to join the business group for lunch/dinner. Which means you may end up in a non-halal restaurant. If that is the case you end up ordering vegetarians options from the menu.

Yes, There are many Indian vegetarian restaurants but there are many non-vegetarian Indian restaurants too. But Non-veg Indian restaurants do carry many veg options making the life easier.

I didnt dive into 'how big is the halal industry'.

My first post in this thread was talking about how a food company/f&b establishment has to go either halal or non halal, nv both, n this is the reason why the the halal industry remains untapped, as can be analysed from https://www.google.com.sg/search?cl...59.110.2......0....1.........0i71.8qZWZBzVBs4

Again u r not focusing on the topic here.

Would a Muslim who HAS a choice, go to a non-halal f&b outlet? Based on what i know in my own country with a small, but sizable muslim community(the reason why im familiar with the halal certification process), the answer is NO.

A non-muslim can go to both a non-halal n halal f&b place for food, but a muslim can only go to a halal and not a non-halal f&b place for food.

And to be certified as halal, a f&b place has to abandon non-halal sectors of the food industry and miss out on the https://www.google.com.sg/search?cl...59.110.2......0....1.........0i71.8qZWZBzVBs4 -based sectors of the food industry.

If the halal sector is worth 'trillions'(<== ya right...) As what the title said, then the non halal sector is worth way more than that based on https://www.google.com.sg/search?cl...59.110.2......0....1.........0i71.8qZWZBzVBs4

So based on https://www.google.com.sg/search?cl...59.110.2......0....1.........0i71.8qZWZBzVBs4 , which is more lucrative?

These is my point.

Halal is not just about not eating pork. It also includes how the animal is slaughtered. Most of the cuisines and restaurants just get whatever meat they can get. So the safest option is to eat vegetarian. That is what my Muslim friend does when he travels outside India.

From what I have seen... All the hordes of Hindus in Dubai, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Middle East seem to love munching away on Halal.

Hinduism neither does prescribe nor proscribe anything. So they are free to munch on any thing they wish.:-)
