There are news that Tejas has got FOC. Official announcement shall be soon. It may happen in first wee of January. Remaining test of auto-recovery alogerithm of slow speed handling and other completed.

How does it pan out against it 2 main neighbourhood adversaries - f16 block 52 and j10 ?
Criteria being - wvr and bvr

Good news, Tejas in its current configuration and low combat radium is only classified as point defense fighter, Mk2 will be a multi role fighter.

Veey nice. Technology wise much better than both. Low RCS, much more agile, better bvr and wvr missiles.

MK1 A will out class both by a great margine.

This is just a bigining. Mk1A will follow next year. MK 2 by 2024. India will have light and medium weight fighters of her own. If we go for FAGA, we will have all categories of fighters of our own. It will simply be awesome.

You should compare it with JF-17.

PAF jf-17? Those are good enough for Nigeria air force only. No compare whatsoever even Myanmar got the better version and others are asking for blk-3.

JF-17 includes Block 1, Block 2, Block 3, and B version.

LCA and JF-17 both are lightweight fighter aircrafts.

You should compare LCA MK1 with JF-17 Block 2, and LCA MK1A with JF-17 Block 3.
