Its under trial, It gonna handover to IAF within few months....

Question is not AESA, India has AESA from decades, the Big question is skills to miniaturize the AESA. I am not sure that We have achieve that capability yet.

what happen to it? MK1 is already developed and under production. One Bird is deleivered to IAF. rest 7 will be delivered as soon as they are made.

FOC is achieved when a whole squadron of LCA will be ready,so the program is on it's way to achieve it

8 till end of this year... these 8 will be first batch and will be placed at Sulur base, Later next year 8 more will join, From 3rd year production will be increased to 11 per year


So by time MK-II will be ready , IAF will have around 50 birds in it's nest..

very ambitious i say. I feel HAL should not rush it but make it properly flawless.

First crash is bound to happen sooner than later. try and delay as long as possible. HAL has got good experience with su30 and various upgrades so it should make a good quality Tejas

anywhere b/w 16-20 aircrafts are considered to be a squadron , the frst batch of mk1 will consist of 8 . over the time serial production numbers will be increased..

I just outlined there Plan (HAL is just an agency which will make LCA. HAL don't develop LCA).. Lets see how smartly they track there planned activities...
