Govt to net Rs 10,000 crore from Swiss bank accounts by March-end: SIT

150 days are long over................and its Supreme court running with "Jhaadu" behind BJP.

BJP setup the SIT in its very first meeting. It was the previous Congress govt who tried to block/delay the setting up of SIT. After that the SIT is working overtime to bring back the money. If you read the article it clearly mentions that the black money has already started coming in the country

"Under the supervision of the SIT, the I-T department has already recovered around Rs 3,500 crore from some of the account holders. As these are old accounts, the assessment proceedings have to be complete by March 31 and we expect the I-T department to net another Rs 6,500 crore by that time," SIT vice-chairman Justice Arijit Pasayat told TOI.

BTW did ya know .......Ambani bhai sahib also have a swiss account as declared by new list

Lot of Businessmen will have legitimate swiss bank accounts. Out of 1000 or so names declared it will be investigated who is genuine and who has black money. If there is black money action will be taken

They are not govt. employees to be corrupt :cheesy:

They are businessmen who desire to make money and that is what they do. They have never claimed to be social workers. They have enormous political clout becuase they make MASSIVE election contribution to both Congress and BJP. What is wrong with that ? .... is it illegal ?

Eh......yeah....

There can be a silver lining to this whole issue, let's hope they get their house in order & win Bihar
Yes and they should stop taking in turncoats from other parties, give chance to common workers on ground.
I already hear news there is going to be a huge restructuring in Bjp soon after the assessment of Delhi elections is over.

Err...No. That is how Political funding works. Donations made to Political parties are TAX FREE. Rather than give that money to the govt. as Taxes most Business Houses choose to donate to political parties and build clout.

Welcome to Practical Democracy.

Ehhh...taxes don't have anything to do with this. This is 'wecome to bhakt politics, not 'practical democcarcy'

Why don't you get educated about taxes in India before sprouting nonsense ? .... not that it has stopped you before.

Section 80C of Income Tax and donations to political party registered under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act. :coffee:

Why don't you become literate first. Donating 3000 Crore to BJP without declaring it is definitely not allowed. Ask BJP to account for funding first.

Ok, so modi will accept moral responsibility and resign?

Why don't you become coherent first.... WHO DONATED 3000 Crores to the BJP :cheesy:

Do you even know that ALL Political Parties Funds are Audited ?

Under Section 13A of Income Tax Act, 1961 all political parties file their Income Tax Returns every Assessment Year along with their audited accounts, Income/ Expenditure details and balance sheet.

Good thing that they lost in Delhi then, the party needs some serious reforms & the forts of Bengal & Bihar are far more important to conqueror than Delhi.
