i received as first hit just now :

Will a dominant girlfriend suffer an orientating defeat?

peacefan's answer (to CIA&NSA): i really don't think so. i am a master of the (idealogical) shield and swords (ok, pens) :D

and... i have muslims teaching me about the flaws of the USA and EU in the middle east and africa, while i educate those muslims back about their need for better leaders in the middle east
That trend could continue for 2 months to 2 years (at least)...

The shareholder frowns inside an iron predecessor.
answer : build smaller bombs to sell more [of them] :)

A market tempers a focus.

answer : bombs are like those gasburners for camping sites - they change the connections interfaces between gas cannister and burner device every now and then :-)

(not taking credit for this lesson passed around ;) )

Dear muslims, I want to share my dayjob and google plus social (political comments newsstream) profile url with you all at this time. As Hazzy so courteously indicated, I should not and need not keep this information available for longer than 5 hours. Please please read my other remarks in *this* defence.pk/forums thread about the need to keep these details secret from "very assertive enemies of peacefan"!

{timeout for address listings reached. next posting of this : can't say, sorry. no more than 5 years from now, geopolitical weather permitting}

note - i'm a catholic 2.0, i don't go to church or sermons often, i have never been to confession with a priest of any kind, but i believe strongly in God and Allah (and their true good nature). Hence, I can not and will not marry a muslima beauty ;) Rest assured, muslimas, even IF i do marry (my Christian God likes me with (legal!) pornography for most of this lifetime of mine (i also (get to) believe in re-incarnation) in this lifetime, I will retain 'my geopolitical hobbies' ;-)

And it is for other peoples ?

Sir , when I was in 6th grade in Pakistan , I could name all fifty States of the US.

When I moved to the US in 1975 as a Graduate Student and told my classmates that I was born and raised in Pakistan they asked me if Pakistan was in Europe.

Of course , today most Americans know where Pakistan is because of Media focus.

What is the literacy rate in your Pakistan, eh ? Which is more important, literacy rate or geography knowledge ? Oopsie...Sorry about that question. That was silly of me. How can anyone know how to name countries when he/she cannot even read the alphabets. It is tough for any American to take your kind of criticisms seriously when your country have a women ILLITERACY rate of over 70%.

Yours only cannot be made to assume if all of Pakistani people has the same experience or knowledge as you.

Sir, that is just the point. It is the large majority of these literate Americans Who don't have the foggiest idea where rest of the World is. Most Americans have the attitude that we have everything we need domestically so why do we need to know anything about rest of the World. Unfortunately, if we have to assume the leadership of the World we do need to know little more about other Nations than we actually do. This is not conjecture on my part. I have spent last FORTY years of my life in the good old US.

Ask 90% of the mostly poor people in Pakistan/India etc where most countries in the world are and they will be even more clueless.

Why should we ? Is that the best mark of an intelligent and educated person ? If I am hiring for an IT position, why should I hire a liberal arts graduate, someone who would have a better than average knowledge of outside US borders, over someone who can code in 20 different computing languages but never leave the state ?

You have the wrong idea on what made the US the so called 'world leader'. It absolutely does not mean demanding every American to be knowledgeable about everything.

If the issue is technology, then there are enough Americans in that field who are knowledgeable about aviation, computers, metallurgy, physics, chemistry, and so on...And that these Americans are leaders in their respective fields in comparison to their peers in other countries.

If the issue is the arts, then there are enough Americans in literature, interpretive dance, painting, graphics, theater, and so on...And that these Americans have the freedom to express themselves unmolested by the government, which is a lot more than we can say for most of the world.

If the issue is politics, then the American body politic is active at all levels, from municipal to federal, with anyone from an expert to an idiot can vie for political offices as long as they can convince enough people to vote for them, of which the system, no matter how flawed, have been copied by other countries to varying degrees. We certainly do not copy from the failed communists, do we ?

If the issue is justice, then the American system is certainly the leader in protections for the accused and restraints on the police. Judges are free from governmental pressure. And the respect for the law is widespread throughout the country.

Individuals inside these issues are not geography experts and we should not expect them to be. It is absolutely unfair and unrealistic when applied to individuals outside their fields of study. A foreign service officer should have a Political Science education and degree and we do expect him/her to know of other countries. But should we expect the same for a professional chemist working for Dow Corning ? Of course not. Should we expect the same for an Airframe-Powerplant mechanic for United Airlines ? Again, not. If chemist and mechanic are at the top of their fields, that is exactly what we want to make US world leader in those fields.

Do you get the point now ?

Oh please! As if people elsewhere are any better at geography. Our own folks would be just as dismal, depending on who was asked.

True story: A German on a train once asked me where I was from. I told him I was from Bangalore, assuming he'd have heard of the place. His reply was epic: We call it Bangladesh here in Germany.
So i think he want India to annex Bangladesh:woot:
