God probably cannot do anything about infant brain's vulnerability. The skull/cranium system doesn't seem to make infant’s brain resilient. Leave alone injury. Even lesser things like a slight backward/forward/sideward bump onto a soft mattress or a short moment of oxygen deprivation may make a person less intelligent than he/she normally would have been, consequently affecting the standard of living and quality of life.
