Only a few Bangladeshi will ever get Malaysian citizenship and they work in exploitative and harsh condition for minimal salary and at least 99 percent will have to return to Bangladesh anyway. Few years ago, there was an agreement between Bangladesh and Malaysia to supply 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers, but it generated a huge backlash in Malaysia that Malaysian govt. scrapped the deal. Malay gained this much hatred and xenophobia against Bangladeshis. Do you know why? Mostly because Bangladeshi male migrant workers are apparently popular among Malay women for date and marriage, and Malay men are disgusted by it. Another reason is, some Bangladeshi migrants are opening business in Malaysia.
