Strange you don't know the word Ballocks consider the a spelling is originate from Germany. The o spelling is much more British/Anglicize

The spelling alternatives stem from the original German, which was spelled with an a. However, the o spelling is much more popular.

Since when is "Ballock" or "Bollock" are German?

The word come from German word ball, and many people in England uses Ballock over Bollock, but it's a consensus that the "A" spelling is more associated with German origin of the word.
