GB Elections 2015

Strange how did PMLN get this much support and votes , well in a way its good may be GB can become another Punjab ??????
All PML-N has to do is not to become PPP. Fulfill the electoral agenda and GB would automatically become the next Punjab.

Having won 10 seats, the PML-N has emerged as the largest party in the GB polls. The PPP and PTI stood second, each tipped to secure four seats. The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and Tehreek-e-Islami won two seats each while independent candidates won two seats.

Fulfill the electoral agenda

What are the hints of this agenda? For the time being as long as there is PMLN in center I think GB should be fine with PMLN. And also considering the CEC its good if that part of Pakistan is saved from useless politics over projects of National interest.

I told you bee rannge aasman:p: Zardari put PPP in a deep Sxit hole and result of it jiyale leaving it and seeing towards PTI as next substitute. Nawaz brothers eating national treasure is different than PPP they bring investment which also could make plus for their kingdom and other hand Zardari only loot and loot, even if he spend 20% for the public things might be different. The example of their own strong hold interior Sind Beeda gharaq hai awam ka.

Gilgit-Baltistan polls: PML-N grabs half of assembly seats

GILGIT: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) appeared to have grabbed half of the seats in the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) elections conducted across the region on Monday under the supervision of the Pakistan Army.

According to unofficial results, PML-N secured 12 of the 24 constituencies, followed by two seats each for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and the independent candidates. One seat each was grabbed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Islami Tehreek.

PML-N regional president Hafeezur Rahman secured 10,157 votes in GBLA-2 Gilgit, followed by PPP’s Jamil Ahmed with 7,415 votes. PTI’s Fatehullah managed to bag slightly more than 1,000 votes. The results of 10 polling stations were yet to be received. Thirty-two thousand votes put PML-N’s Jafarullah slightly ahead of PPP’s Amjad Hussain in GBLA-1 Gilgit, though results of some polling stations were yet to be compiled.

In GBLA-3 Gilgit, PML-N’s Dr Muhammad Iqbal was ahead of PPP’s Aftab Haider. In GBLA-1 Skardu, the results pouring in showed a neck-and-neck competition between PML-N’s Akbar Taban and PTI’s Raja Jalal, followed by former G-B chief minister Mehdi Shah.

In GBLA-6 Hunza, PML-N’s Mir Ghazanfar was ahead of PPP’s Zafar Iqbal and PTI’s Izhar Hunzai.

Rigging allegation

PPP candidate Amjad Hussain accused his PML-N opponent Jafarullah of rigging at one of the polling stations. “PML-N candidate’s supporters carried out rigging at the Hainzal polling station.” The accusation couldn’t be confirmed because the officials were not available for comment. Former CM Shah didn’t confirm if rigging had taken place, but he promised to talk about it later, at a more suitable time. Regarding the low count of his votes, he said he didn’t know why he was on the losing track. “Ask my voters why I’m losing.”

Women voters

Women in Diamer’s Darel Valley cast their ballots for the GBLA polls, while the women in the adjacent Tangir Valley “voluntarily abstained”.

Both the valleys of Diamer district are considered the most backward in the entire region where female literacy rate is hardly one per cent. The local jirga had imposed a ban last month on the women in the valleys, declaring voting by women against cultural and religious norms.

However, after the media highlighted the issue, the election commission of G-B had asked the administration to ensure separate polling stations for women in both the valleys.

“Women in Darel Valley cast their ballots, but not the women in Tangir Valley,” said Muhammad Qasim, a journalist based in Chilas town. “Women of Tangir Valley abstained voluntarily as they had never voted,” he told The Express Tribune.

He said separate female staff was made available by the administration that helped the women of Darel Valley to exercise their right to vote. However, the women in Tangir Valley did not turn up at the polling stations despite the presence of female staff.

No official was immediately available to comment on the issue. The regional office of the chief election commissioner had no idea if the women were casting their votes.

GB elections done - GOOD WORK PAKISTAN ... GB is PART of Pakistan not Disputed Territory according to U.N. declaration. Pakistani Govt and parties do whatever they like in GB.

WHO ever gets its hand in GB, he will be trying his best to get how much he can ?
Legislative assembly has no real power. Center is in control at all times, as i said before i don't care who wins.
People are seeing the bigger picture alright. They have seen that the person talking loud about dhandli is A)Failed miserabally to prove anything B)Rigged the elections to record when his turn came.
Imran Khan has shown that he suffers from an accute lack of A) Patience B)Grace and 3) Understanding of politics.
Let's not start on Nawaz sharif's and the Zardari's. I don't have the time to fill out the whole page.

And perhaps thats why the N league won the elections....Duh! fill out as many pages as you like my friend, the word of the street is different from your "wishes"

congratulation to PMLN, they always had the best chance. As long as the infrastructure work is being done in GB i hope PMLN does a good job, instead of involving itself in corruption(which it will). Anyway Legislative assembly has no real power, Nawaz sharif was going to be in power regardless of the fact who wins. It's time these incompetent sobs look to give us a constitutional status and basic political rights. For which they have done nothing. Anyway, good luck people expect a lot from PMLN, thank god PPP lost. They were plain stupid they would have destroyed the region like Sindh.

PMLN always had the best chances, you didn't expect PTI to win it's first election it has ever participated. Why single out PTI? instead i figure PTI has done a great job, they have emerged in GB that's a great sign, they are emerging as a national party.
No point in quoting me, as to you and @batmannow i am one of those lost souls who would blindly listen and do whatever Imran Khan say's. I'm am one of the mislead youth, who can't be argued or reasoned with.
