Gaza-Israel Conflict | October 2023

Conflict didn't start on October 7. Palestinian's made a successful counterstrike for once in decades. This does not give Israel the right to commit genocide. A blockade is an act of war as well. And so is a occupation. You cannot expect peace and calm when waging war. Israel can secure peace and calm by withdrawing it's occupation forces from the West Bank and lifting the blockade on Gaza. So why don't they? Simple. They don't want peace.

I never said conflict started on October 7, I said Israel won't stop this time until they defang Hamas. In fact they got an opportunity because of foolishness of Hamas in carrying out the said attack and taking kids, women and elderly as hostages.

Israel doesn't have a right to commit genocide, neither did Hamas had the right to kill people indiscriminately and think the same won't have any consequences.

When Gaza / West Bank were not under blockade there were daily suicide bombings in night clubs and bus stops in Tel Aviv, do you believe Israelis are fools to do that and die themselves.

It's not the time for false bravado, Hamas needs to take a step back to help its own people for whom they are fighting or as they say, else there won't be much to fight for in 6 months time.

It’s pathetic we live in a day and age where our brothers and sisters are being killed with no Muslim leader having the courage to do something. Oh, how we have fallen. How many Muslim countries must be attacked before people wake up? This is not just a war on Palestinians but a long list of wars against Islam/Muslims.

You speak the truth.

As we speak the UAE harami Kafir Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is whiting for the Israeli.

Israel does itself as having the right to commit genocide and appears to believe there won't be consequences.

Why show one side of the picture? It's not true, first of all. Israel was invading and blockading the West Bank during that period which is the the intifada broke out. An average of 20 Palestinians were killed per day.

If Israel ends its occupation, we can have a two state solution with two nations with drawn out borders. These borders will be fenced up and have walls. And UN forces will be deployed for a long period to maintain peace on the borders. This is the only way forward. Hamas is part of the Palestinian social fabric and it's unreasonable to try to suggest they aren't legitimate. Nobody would support regime change in Israel. Forced by an outside party.

Why a private Israeli news channel is making a foray into the UAE

The channel has strongc onnections to former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and will broadcast its content from the UAE in a bid to reach Arab audiences.

In recent weeks, Gaza has been under constant Israeli bombardment while Palestinian residents of the centuries-old Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem face evictions from their homes.

But nothing has changed between Israel and the UAE who signed a normalisation deal last year. Now, a private Israeli channel with strong connections with the country’s hardliner politician Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that it will open a media office in Dubai.

"In the last year, we have witnessed regional diplomatic changes that enable business ties and opportunities for partnerships," said Frank Melloul, chief executive of i24News, who is a Swiss-Israeli operator, and a former media adviser to the French government.

Yousef Alhelou, a Palestinian political analyst, sees the move as an act to normalise relations further between the two countries, whose diplomatic relationship has been strengtened with the normalisation deal to almost a level of an alliance.

“Dubai is a very important and strategic city, where Israel wants to have influence and spread information to the Arab world. Dubai is both an international city and a media centre. Having an office there will make sure Israel has a voice within the Arab world,” Alhelou tells TRT World.

You see things as per your/Palestine's perspective, the other side has its own. Be it Israel or Hamas nobody absolutely nobody has a right to kill innocent civilians. The fact that you or others in the Muslim world won't denounce Hamas for killing innocents and taking women and children as hostage speaks volume. Firstly, the Palestinians/muslim world should come to terms with Israels's right to exist. As they see it, for Israel it is fight for survival and they will probably rather kill than get killed. After Israel withdrew from Gaza on 2005 did peace prevail?

Well attacking and killing civilians, taking women and children hostages won't help achieve the above, will it?

Don't talk out of context. Israel regularly attacks women and children. Destroys homes. Steals land. Stops water and electricity. Dehumanizes Palestinians. Yet, most of the Arab world unconditionally recognized Israel. Terrible mistake.
