It's easy: If you slaughter civilians, that is a ugly thing, no matter what excuse you use.

And Israeli people who born in Israel land are not foreigners, they have right to live where they born just like the Palestinians.

The main issue is the demographics. Israel conquered the West Bank and Gaza in 67 but the problem is that the population of Arabs within the borders that Israel controls now equal or outnumber Jews. Therefore, Israel cannot absorb these people otherwise they would lose their ethnostate. This is why Israel cannot integrate these people and instead has set up a system of apartheid and constant occupation which keeps this festering wound alive.

If the total number of Arabs were 1/10th of Israel's population and the Jews were 9/10s, they would have been absorbed and neutralized a long time ago like the Israeli Arabs are.

The demographics problem is also the main reason why Israel has chosen to genocide the Palestinians. Because they want the land and will not allow a real Palestinian state, at the same time, the only solution is to get rid of the Palestinians by inflicting as much pain and death to get them to flee to Jordan or Egypt.

IDF failed to rescue any significant number of hostages. Public and behind the scenes pressure on Israel ramped up after all the civilian casualties. Its image was tarnished globally. Its the Israeli's that buckled to the pressure for a deal.....not Hamas.
