Human Rights Watch says rocket misfire likely cause of deadly Gaza hospital blast

GENEVA, Nov 26 (Reuters) - Human Rights Watch (HRW) said on Sunday that evidence suggested a misfired rocket was the likely cause of an explosion that resulted in heavy casualties at a hospital in Gaza on Oct. 17.

The explosion at the Al-Ahli hospital triggered outrage across the Arab world. Palestinians blamed an Israeli air strike, while Israel said it was caused by a misfiring Palestinian rocket launch.

"The explosion that killed and injured many civilians at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza on October 17, 2023, resulted from an apparent rocket-propelled munition, such as those commonly used by Palestinian armed groups..," HRW said.

It said the findings of its investigation into the explosion were based on a review of photos and videos, satellite imagery and interviews with witnesses and experts.

The Al-Ahli hospital blast was one of the most fiercely disputed incidents in a war marked by accusations from both sides of disinformation and war crimes.

Next few days may be critical war in this war and genocide. IMO, if Netanyahu decides to destroy southern Gaza like northern Gaza pushing Palestinians into Egypt.....Egypt will have to respond in some way. IMO, Egypt actually has a golden opportunity to force Israel into an insurgency.....where its conventional supremacy would not matter. Historically, guerilla warfare is the only way conventionally weaker forces have defeated stronger ones. The Arabs have never tried this approach, which surprises me. Its worked in Afghanistan against USSR and NATO. Arm Hamas with more modern munitions and sit back and watch them bleed the Israeli's. Get the West Bank and Hezbollah involved too. After a few months or years of this......send in the conventional armies. Israelis have never had to deal with both an insurgency and a conventional war at the same time in a war that lasted a long time.

If Muslim countries are party to the genocide convention then they should take Israeli ships and sell them to compensate the Palestinians:-
Very good idea. Europeans are bragging about how they seize (steal) Russian assets in the West (ships, houses, cash etc) to send to Ukrainians. Outside of Yemen and Iran unfortunately the other Muslim countries lack the courage and conviction to do something like this for Palestinians.

Egypt will fight Hamas before they fight Israel

Sisi will face a revolution if he does nothing. Egyptian people are horrified by what's happening in Gaza.

Americans are already planning on cutting aid to Egypt. This is a golden opportunity to drag Israel into an insurgency, IMO.

Child hostages taken by occupying settler Zionist regime
The first moments after the siblings Qassam and Naser Al Awar were released by #Israel within the deal with the resistance.

Qassam and Naser have been both summoned for interrogations several times. The 1st interrogation for them was when they were 4 and 5 years old.

How do you interrogate a 4 year old child? @sammuel can you take a break from your propaganda to help us understand?

Good post. Problem is: Countries like Egypt and Jordan have a lot to lose in case of carpet bombing major cities by the NATO troops stationed nearby as well as the economic sanctions. For countries like Yemen or Lebanon or Syria--who are already economically and/or physically destroyed-- it is a bit easier to risk wars. But not for more stable countries.

But I think the Muslim countries have managed to put so much pressure on Biden that it is now impossible for Israelis to implement the 'Camp City' in Sinai or even control most of Gaza. Israelis, in all likelihood, will be stuck with Hamas in Gaza.

It's time for all Muslim countries to act , otherwise they may as well change their names to greater Israel.

No. I know Biden doesn't care for innocent lives but he's tanking in younger public opinion in America; over the long Thanksgiving Weekend, I had a chance to speak with some younger Americans and they are disgusted by Biden's Middle East policy. Plus there is indeed a lot of behind the scene pressure on Biden from the Muslim countries to not allow any change in Gaza's demographics or geography.
You see: America maybe the dog whose Israeli tail is wagging it but America is still a superpower with global interests and can only ignore those interests so much.

You really believe after all this carnage and destruction Biden and his gang of murderous zionists really care about world opinion or the youth of USA? Why would they stop when they are only half a Gaza away and another 100000 dead from achieving their dream of the final solution?

I am not sure how far will Israelis go. At this point, nobody can be sure of that. As far as the American policy/interests are concerned, this should be wrapped up asap and I don't think Americans would too much mind a largely depleted Hamas surviving in Gaza--America has other interests and there are pressure groups both within America and from other countries.
The wild card here is Netanyahu. If he is toppled now, the next person can more easily walk away from Netanyahu's maximalist approach about Gaza.
Anyway, it will not take long for us all to find out the course of this war...
