Thing is nobody does anything for the Palestinians and maybe that's the reason for this brutality now. There are 700,000 illegal settlers in Palestinians territories and yet "Civilized world" has done nothing.

Generally, luring in IDF forces in to pre determined kill zones, where massing direct and indirect firepower will be brought to bear. ATGMs as usual, maybe MANPADS this time as well. Appears like Hamas guys who have infiltrated are holding civilian and military hostages as well.....hostage clearing will be complex considering israeli lives involved....coming to war termination strategy, Hamas would look for an early exit, IDF will like to achieve its war aims before any such thing. We may possibly see a strong sea blockade by israel as well, coupled with stopping of food supplies and utilities.....random thoughts for now.

Security that Israel does not blindly attack and kill civilians in the Gaza Strip.
But if Hamas is blindly firing thousands of Rockets on Israeli citizens and killing them, then Israel will also retaliate, and this time Western Secular forces cannot stop Israel from doing it.
It is the same that Hamas was doing dozens of suicide attacks before 2008. But after that, the wall was built and then Hamas was not able to do a single suicide attack from 2008 till today.
It may be Hamas kill some Israelis today, but they are going to suffer badly now.

It will be a tit for tat. Don't think this will be so easy.

The West and the US/Britain in particular is the reason why Israel continues to steal Palestinian land. The Palestinians aren't yearning for Western support. That has never been there.
