Gautam Gambhir to tie the knot

Cricketer Gautam Gambhir is now officially off the bachelor’s market, as his marriage has been finalised. The Rajinder Nagar boy will wed Natasha Jain, who belongs to a prominent business family based in Model Town, in a simple ceremony in late October or early November.

Sources close to the cricketer confirm that it is an arranged marriage and Gautam, 29, and Natasha, 27, were introduced earlier this year by their families. “The wedding was fixed five-six months back. It will be a simple event, with not more than 100-200 invitees,” says a source.

Gambhir is a fan of singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and has approached him to perform at the wedding. A friend says, “He likes Rahat but there are visa issues, so we may approach Atif Aslam as he is a big fan of his, too.”

Delhi designers Shantanu-Nikhil will be designing the couple’s wedding trousseau. A source says, “Natasha has met Shantanu-Nikhil a few times for her designs. The designers are also doing the clothes for the cocktail party. Natasha has requested something very subtle and stylish, and she has a keen interest in design herself. The designers are also readying Gautam’s outfit.”
