I hate this stupid culture of item songs. They are the same crass, vulgar nuisance that adds no value to the movie.

Song and dance have no place in a movie unless its a musical or is related to music. Think big man, today Americans know about Iranian movies but they think of Bollywood as a tamasha manch which is good for laugh and entertainment but which can NEVER be called a work of art.

And bollywood is not Indian cinema. The Assamese, South Indian, Marathi, Bengali regional movies produce good quality movies.

Movies on sosical issues in our socity or based on true stories are good movies. All other wana be hollywood style are so childish cant understand why ppl even watch them

Most of these new songs get old and borring within few months but old songs be it love songs or item song they are still best. Rahet Fateh Ali Khan was here in Norway and guess what ppl liked all old songs of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan rather than new songs

Sir,with due respect my personal opinion is that most of the Bollywood movies made in the late 80s and throughout the 90s barring a few good ones like Prahaar,Roja,Janwaar,Sarfarosh were cheap 3rd grade movies which lacked a good story and the cinematography at that period was just pathetic.It's only after 2000 Bollywood started to make some decent movies like Dil Chahta Hain,Taare Zameen Par,Lagaan etc.
Personally i am an action movie buff and hence i am pretty much biased towards good action flicks like Commando(new one starring Vidyut Jamwal),Madras Cafe,D-Day,Holiday,Babby etc.

Yeah,Sadak was indeed a great movie and so were Mohra and Tridev,i somehow missed their names while writing my previous post.Other than that Qayamat se Qayamat tak was a hilarious comedy but can't say the same about sajan chale sasural.I was never into the romantic genre and hence didn't like romantic movies like Dil or for that matter Maine Pyaar kiya but then again,i am an action movie buff and hence i will always be biased towards good action flicks
