Forum announcement regarding what happened

At the end of the day, it's called Pakistan DEFENCE forum !! But sadly of late it represented a Lorry Addha Hotel with village politics flying in all directions. Not a single thread related to Pakistan Armed forces is spared from being ridiculed and derailed.
Freedom of speech is onething but openly abusing and insulting men in uniforms is uncalled for . There are other platforms for such ventilation foe those who must need it.

I appreciate your candid thoughts and share your concerns about the recent turn of discussions on the forum. The essence of the platform, as you rightly pointed out, is centered around Pakistan's defense, and it's disheartening to see it deviate from that core purpose.

Your reminder about the importance of maintaining a respectful tone when discussing Pakistan's Armed Forces resonates with many of us. While freedom of speech is crucial, it should not be at the expense of demeaning those who dedicate their lives to the defense of our nation.

Our aim on this website was always to promote the well being of our fatherland, homeland and of course the armed forces attached to it. Over the course of 22 years we have done that well, and continue to be among the leaders in terms of defence forum platforms. We welcome all and everyone here and many nations have found this a home as well, including our Indian guests.

Of course the last couple of years we have seen politics come and and all sorts passions flying around. We never have wished to curtail free speech but we have to be careful now.

I would ask you to work for us in order for our web platform to survive. If you don't wish to tow a line then please do not make things difficult for us. If you do then it will mean the end of the website and the last bastion that promotes the defence of the nation gone forever. I know people say we can have back ups or alternate plans but it will never match what we built here over the decades.

You've been playing with fire and up till now you haven't been burnt. Freedom of speech is one thing, but take a look at a lot of the content on here...infested with people who have nothing but hatred and malevolent motives against what you hold dear, but you choose to allow them on here.

Some of us have been here for over a decade and we share our views with ease

You just need more active/Working MODS to keep a check on what's being posted.
PDF is a gold pot of info on Pak Armed Forces and would be a great loss for enthusiasts if it was to shut down.

Dont hesitate to ban members if they cross the red line for the sake of the forum continuity. This has already been Muslim world forum. Members in here should understand as well what is the current limit.

I'll follow the lines of what the other members have done in describing the matter; which is alluding against speaking out directly. Just do a quick Google search about the nature of Imran Khan's ouster, that alone should answer your questions.

On another note, this forums' livelihood also now relies on the hands of a few trolls and posters. So there could be any troll from India or Pakistan that can get this forum shut down pretty easily if it is as bad as you say, Waz.

I completely understand what your saying, yourself, moderators and many members have worked hard to make PDF a successful site for us to come and learn and discuss regarding the defence of Pakistan and other nations. Since the past 2 years alot of filth was spread on the forum which is difficult to control by the moderaters. People have every right to disagree but name calling, using dirty language, abuse, propaganda etc was uncalled for, this is a professional military defence forum and not Facebook or twitter.

I request all the members who claim to be the role models and educated people to use decent language and counter points using decent language. As DGISI Nadeem Anjum said "Pakistanis have every right to criticise the armed forces and point out faults but using faults to divide the people and to spread propaganda so hatred against the armed forces is spread is unacceptable". I hope people grow up and learn from it.
