Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee receives the Bharat Ratna

For what ??:o:

narasimha rao is single handedly responsible for change of Indian economy and for introduction of financial reforms in 1990's.. he was successful in controlling the seperartist movements in punjab and kashmir.. an unkonown fact about rao is that he spoke 17 languages... despite being a P.M for 5 years and holding many influential positions he earned nothing for himself, and has to depend on his son-in-law for educating his son and faced difficulties in paying the college fees of his daughter...

Rao didn't recieve the respect he deserved just bcz he was against sonia gandhi.. he was humilated to the greatest extent by bloody congressis... :(

I agree that he indeed broke the socialist economic nexus created by previous Gandhis (aka congress). But that's what any normal PM should have done.Or does it have to do something with he being from Andhra Pradesh. And i also feel all Gandhis( including Nehru) were undeserving of that award.

His favourite words

Mere prabhu! Mujhe itani unchai kabhi mat dena, gairon ko gale na laga sakun itani rukhai kabhi mat dena (My lord! Never give me such a high position that I am unable to hug those who are not close to me)

Indira Gandhi deserves Bharat Ratna.
