I will give an example : If you have watched that fine film "Jaane bhi do yaaro", remember that close-to-end scene where the Mahabharata stage drama sees entry by Mughals, with the blind Dhritarashtra saying "Yeh kya ho raha hai" ??

That scene cannot be done today. Someone will file a court case and someone else will put a bounty upon the director's head.
