There's nothing quite as fun taking a pick up truck off road on some country dirt/mud tracks....and letting loose! Fun as hell! I prefer GM over Ford by a large margin tho.

We’re going to be electrifying the F-Series, both battery-electric and hybrid.

A hybrid drivetrain with the instant torque of an electric motor would aid performance of the truck considerably. This will be an interesting development.

Maybe, but now you are opening yourself up to more headaches. Now instead of just the normal gasoline engine wear and tear problems you are adding on electrical engine wear and tear problems.

Not really. Adding an IMA (intergrated motor assist) just adds an electric motor that doubles as the generator (to add power or take power out to recharge) between the engine and transmission with no added wear and tear.
